October is Cyber Security Awareness Month In October 2008, UNH held a set of informative events for the whole community. The events included special speaker presentations about the state of New Hampshire laws that pertain to information technology, UNH Policies, Encryption, Safe Computing, and strategies and devices you can use to protect your confidentiality. In addition, we hosted a number of fun events, such as a phishing derby during which participants competed for prizes in recognition of having submitted examples of phishing attempts that they found in their e-mail, but recognized in time as being malicious and to which they did not reply.
