Our Mission

We focus on the effective application of information technology and the visual arts to the teaching, learning, research, and outreach efforts of the University community. We foster collaborative partnerships which advance the integration of information technology in teaching and learning as well as the visual character of the University and its community. We provide support and access to information technology resources for faculty and students.

FITSI 2008 starts Monday, June 9th
The Faculty Instructional Technology Summer Institute (FITSI) is a weeklong, hands-on learning experience that takes place each year on the Durham campus. A limited number of faculty and instructors in full-time, permanent teaching positions are chosen to participate.

Highest Satisfaction Ratings Ever - Across the Board
Academic Computing Systems has been conducting a customer satisfaction survey at least once each year for the past 4 years. We ask the users of the Student Computing Clusters to let us know what they think of the services and facilities we provide. The results of this Fall's survey, conducted November 29, 2007 to December 17, 2007, have just been released.
